1. Who we are

Plastic Surgeons MD ("we", "us") operates plasticsurgeon.md, a community-run directory and review platform for surgeons and practices. 2. Information we collect

Account information: your name, email address, and password when you create an account. Surgeon members additionally provide practice details, bar admission information, contact details, and profile content.

Content you submit: reviews, community posts, comments, photos, and videos. Reviews are public by design — do not include information you consider confidential.

Usage information: pages visited, searches, and device/browser data collected through cookies and similar technologies (see our Cookie Policy).

3. How we use information

We use your information to operate the directory and review board, verify that reviews come from real patients, process member subscriptions, send transactional and (with your consent) marketing emails, moderate content, and improve the service. We do not sell your personal information.

4. Reviews and public content

Reviews, ratings, community posts, and your reviewer display name are visible to anyone. Surgeon profiles, including ratings and Surgeon Scores, are public. You may request removal of a review you wrote at any time from your dashboard.

5. Sharing

We share information with service providers who help us run the platform (payment processing via Stripe, email delivery, hosting), with law enforcement when legally required, and in connection with a business transfer. Surgeon members can see aggregate analytics about their profile, never your private account details.

6. Your rights

You can access, correct, or delete your account information from your dashboard or by emailing us. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights (access, portability, erasure, opt-out of targeted advertising) under laws such as the CCPA or GDPR. We honor verified requests within 30 days.

7. Data retention & security

We keep account data while your account is active and for up to 24 months after deletion where required for fraud prevention and legal compliance. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. No system is perfectly secure — please use a strong, unique password.

8. Children

Plastic Surgeons MD is not directed to children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their information.

9. Changes

We will post any changes to this policy here and update the date above. Material changes will be announced by email or a site notice.
